Hi. I’m Max! Welcome to my blog!!
I am passionate about helping people who are struggling to break or at least reduce their unhealthy habits. I know, this is easier said than done. And to make things more difficult, everyone is different. What may work for one person may not work for someone else. We also experience things differently or are going through different phases in our lives. So you may be asking yourself: How can I help everyone who is trying to quit something that is not benefiting them? Before I get into all of that, let me share a little of my history with you.
I am the middle daughter (yes I said daughter. Don’t let the name “Max” fool you) of three girls raised by a single mother. We moved around…a lot. Sometimes we would move from one house to another and then back to that initial house. It was crazy but it was also my life. To this day I hate packing and unpacking, even if it is to travel on vacation. Anyway, to get to the point of my blog, a period of my childhood was spent in an area that was not the best, meaning a house surrounded by drug dealers, prostitutes, people in and out of jail, home invasions, arson, I better stop there as I’m running out of space.
Don’t get me wrong, I had a really good childhood. I did not personally experience most of these issues (except witnessing a guy jump out of a car and pull out a knife on an unsuspecting guy sitting on a wall but we continued to drive pass.) I have learned a ton of life skills, some that I hope I never have to personally use. Please do not think that I am judging any of these people. To this day, I still run into my old neighbors and we have a great time catching up.
Some persons are career criminals by choice and others were simply born into this violent cycle. Some people honestly do not want to change and that’s OK. This blog is not for those people.
THIS IS WHY I CREATED THIS BLOG. I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE WHO WANT TO QUIT!!
Growing up I witnessed persons who want to change but it was difficult. You may not necessarily want to quit drugs, alcohol or smoking cold turkey but you want to at least try to or reduce your unhealthy habits. You may be an addict who just found out you are pregnant. How do you stop doing something you have been doing for most of your life? What are safe alternatives to the prescription drugs out there? Or you may be battling with other health issues. Which methods work without affecting your current medication? Or you may be trying to quit but need cheaper alternatives. Or you may want to help your loved ones quit their bad habits but do not know where to start or the best way to approach them.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM MY BLOG
I want to be that helpful support system. I want to build a friendly community of others who have unique circumstances and don’t fit into the usual molds. I want to be your source of information. I want to be your researcher when you need additional information.
The issues you may want to quit may not necessarily be tangible such as smoking. You may also want to quit making bad decisions in life when it comes to dating. Or you may want tips on how to quit your job. You may simply want to learn how to quit starting arguments with family and friends. All of this will also be discussed in my blog. I want to be a source of help and that is what my blog is all about: tips on how to quit anything negative in your life. Exciting topics lie ahead!

Keep in mind, quitting an unhealthy habit will not happen overnight. So let us make this journey steadily, gradually and healthily together.
